Observations
Over the 14 weeks, I noticed how my design thinking slowly became more structured and intentional. At the start, ideas were more trial-and-error, but as the module progressed, I began to understand the importance of building from the basics before pushing creativity further. I also observed how revisiting early ideas often revealed gaps in my understanding, which made me more aware that design is not a linear process. Each stage encouraged me to pause, reflect, and adjust rather than rushing toward a final outcome.
Findings
One key takeaway from this module is that creativity works best when supported by logic and clear reasoning. I found that stronger outcomes came from understanding why certain design choices were made, rather than focusing purely on visual appeal. The process also highlighted how much self-learning is involved in UI/UX — from exploring references to refining details independently. This made me realise that improvement does not stop in class, and that actively teaching myself is essential to growing as a designer.
Experiences
Overall, this module was an enjoyable and motivating experience. Working through the project helped me gain confidence in handling complex ideas while staying grounded in fundamental design principles. It pushed me to take more ownership of my learning and continuously challenge myself to improve. Most importantly, this experience made me excited about what lies ahead in UI/UX, as it feels like the beginning of a much larger journey. The past 14 weeks have given me valuable knowledge, a stronger mindset, and clear motivation to keep developing my skills moving forward.
