WEEK 10

LECTURE | Introduction to After Effects

Adobe After Effects is a powerful 2.5D animation software widely used in film, television, and web video production. It excels in:

Animation: Creating dynamic visuals through techniques like keyframing, expressions, and puppet tools.
Visual Effects: Enhancing footage with special effects like compositing, tracking, and rotoscoping.
Motion Graphics: Designing and animating text, shapes, and graphics for engaging presentations and commercials.
Key Features:

Compositing: Seamlessly combining multiple layers of video, images, and effects within a single scene.
Manipulation: Powerful tools for manipulating imagery, including color correction, warping, and tracking.
Workflow Considerations:

Pre-Compositing in Photoshop:
Organize and rename layers effectively in Photoshop to streamline the animation process in After Effects.
Pre-Compositing in After Effects:
Organize and synchronize layers within After Effects for efficient integration with other software platforms.
Note: After Effects links to external media files rather than embedding them directly.
Motion Graphics:

Vector and Raster Graphics: Utilize both vector and raster-based art to create compelling motion graphics that tell stories.
Integration: Incorporate real-world elements through photographs and videography to enhance the storytelling.
